Film is never just a series of moving pictures on a screen. It is a mirror, a dream machine—the place where our own faces are handed back to us in disguise. To call it “entertainment” diminishes it; film carries us across uncharted seas of imagination.

For me, the pull of cinema is tidal. I’m drawn to it the way a sailor is drawn to the horizon—restless, searching, compelled. Each story is a voyage. Each scene, a way of navigating what it means to be human. I’ve always been fascinated by the quiet patterns of human behavior—how we reach for one another, how we betray, how we endure. These truths live beneath every story. Not in spectacle, but in the choices, the silences, the moments that reveal who we are.

This is the core of my work: to explore those truths. Film matters to me because it is a compass. It points us back to each other, to empathy, to the strange and beautiful fact of being alive.
